An investigation into who stole a number of blue, taxiway lights from Salina’s airport leads to an arrest.

Police Sergeant Jim Feldman tells KSAL News that 20-year-old Luke L. Leopold was taken into custody on Tuesday in connection to the theft of 7 marker lights, 3 taxiway signs and the destruction of 7 light stands.

Salina Airport Authority estimates the loss and damage  in the case at $3,000.

The taxiway lights have not been recovered.

Sergeant Feldman says additional arrests are expected.
