Salina Man Arrested for Damaging SUV

A neighborhood video from E. Republic Avenue helps police identify a suspect who damaged a SUV Saturday.

According to Salina Police Sergeant Kyle Tonniges, officers viewed footage of a man who threw a concrete, yard ornament frog and a chainsaw at a 2015 Dodge Durango – causing over $1,500 in damages to the passenger side of the vehicle.

The suspect, 34-year-old Preston Reyna was identified a day later after residents in a home in the 700 block of Vassar Drive contacted police about his disorderly conduct inside. Police linked him to the vandalism on E. Republic and tried to arrest him.

Reyna was taken into custody after he tussled with officers and is now facing possible charges for felony damage to property and interference with law enforcement.
