Kansas voters are saying no to a proposed constitutional amendment.

A proposed amendment that would have given the Kansas Legislature oversight of state agency rules and regulations failed by more than nine-thousand votes during last week’s election.

Critics of the measure argued that it would have unfairly moved the balance of power away from the state’s executive branch.
