Phyllis M. Ayers, 87, formerly of Salina, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 in Waverly, Kansas. Phyllis was born March 3, 1930 in Finney County, Kansas.

Phyllis was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mamie (Kelsey) McVaugh, her husband, David D. “Jack” Ayers; a brother, Jack McVaugh and 2 sisters, Mary Jo McCormack and Gerri Frank.

Survivors include her son, Thomas (Ronda) Ayers and a daughter Saundra Ayers, both of Topeka; a sister, Katherine White of Salina and 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Per Phyllis’s wishes, cremation was chosen and the family will be planning a graveside service at a later date.
