Mary was born in Aluisi, Ecuador, to Angel B Armijos and Francisca Quirola de Armijos on September 10th, 1935. She earned her GED and earned her cosmetology license in Brooklyn, NY. She enjoyed reading her bible, doing puzzles, word searches, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family. She lived her life to the fullest daily to the best of her ability.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Angel and Francisca, sister Elida Bonifaccini, and grandson Ramiro R Rodriguez, Jr.

Mary arrived in Brooklyn, NY, on May 3rd, 1965. She had many jobs in her lifetime; however, her favorite was working at ABC Flag Manufacturing, Fort Worth, TX as a seamstress. This job displayed her artistry, and she felt valued, appreciated, and loved by the owners and co-workers.

Mary embraced spending time with her family. Mary is survived by Ramiro R Rodriguez, Roy Armijos, Mayra R Elsafi, Mary Rodriguez, and Angelita Armijos-Slagle. Mary had 12 grandchildren Ramiro R Rodriguez Jr., Udana Arceo, Mitchell Rodriguez, Julian Armijos, Billy, Daniel, and Terrence Bilodeau, Tariq and Sarah Elsafi, Maritza “Chachi” Rodriguez, Crystal Hermosillo, and Andrew Slagle. Mary was able to witness the extension of her family times three generations.

Our mom touched the lives of many throughout her lifetime. Family and friends share the same appreciation of our mom’s love for life, wisdom, sense of humor, and dedication to her family. We have many treasured memories of our mother. However, we all share the joy of watching our mother sing and dance in our home. Our mother took pride in keeping her family together as a single parent in Brooklyn, NY. Our mother’s most significant moments were witnessing and participating in her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s lives. Our mother was creative, making knitted baby blankets, clothes, scarves, and hats. Using her imaginary playtime with her grandchildren brought much laughter and joy. Her favorite bible verse is Psalm 91 and favorite worship song was El Poderoso De Israel. One of our mother’s proudest moments was taking part in planning and orchestrating her memorial service and celebration of life.
