Linda (Ravenkamp) Ingram

Linda (Ravenkamp) Ingram, 71, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 29, 2020. She was the first of nine children born to John J., Sr. and Susan (Snider) Ravenkamp on June 26, 1948 in Salina, Kansas. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1966 and attended Marymount College. She often worked as a bookkeeper, but she found her passion serving youth later in life working in the library at Salina High School Central, from which she retired in 2014 after 16 years of service.
Linda is preceded in death by her father, John, Sr.;step-father, Plemma Jamison; son, Zachary Ingram; brother, John J. Ravenkamp, Jr.; and sister, Mary Miller.

Known for her kindness and servant’s heart, Linda could most often be found singing and serving at her home church, First Baptist Church Salina. Active in the church as a deacon, an elder, choir member, and adult Sunday school teacher over the years, she gave her life to serving Christ and others.

Linda was also notorious for her angelic voice. She was a member of the “Sweet Adelines” Salina chapter in her youth and continued offering her voice for praise and worship in the choir and through solos at First Baptist Church Salina. Linda could often be caught humming and singing The Supremes tunes, old hymns, and praise music.

Linda is survived by her husband, Edward; daughters Amanda (Austin) Little of Salina, Adie (Brad) Fields of Meridian, MS, and Christine (Lynn) Cavaness of Nowata, OK; son Eric (Jackie) Cole of Colorado Springs; mother Susan Jamison of Salina; brother James (Patricia) Ravenkamp of Salina; sisters Marjorie Albertson of Greenwood, MO, Judy (Pat) Larson of Vesper, Cindy (Rob) Eisenhauer of Pratt, Teresa (Roger) Pearson of Ellsworth, Ann (Ken) Nowlin of Salina; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many others who simply knew her as “Mom,” “sister,” or friend.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at First Baptist Church, 843 Lewis Ave. Salina.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Music Ministry or Tammy Walker Cancer Center of Salina, and may be sent in care of Ryan Mortuary.
