Assembly was required in a theft of a mower Saturday morning in Salina.
Police Capt. Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that at 4:15 a.m., a lawnmower was stolen from Atwood’s, located at 400 S. Broadway Boulevard.
Forrester said that the Troy-Bilt mower was on the rear loading dock of the business still in its shipping crate. On unreleased video surveillance footage, a man arrives to the area on foot, takes apart the crate and puts the mower together. The man brought a gas can and oil with him, so he filled the newly-assembled mower up and drove off on it.
Salina Police are working on identifying the suspect.
