Salina Man Accused of Indecent Liberties

A 19-year-old Salina man was jailed on charges that allege he supplied alcohol to a couple of 15-year-old girls and then had sexual relations with one of the victims.

Police Captain Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that Jacob A. Balthazor, 19 was arrested on Friday in connection to the alleged incident at his home in the 100 block of N. Estates sometime between July 14 and July 15.

Police say Balthazor attained some wine coolers from a friend and then took the two young acquaintances to his father’s shop where they drank the alcohol.

He later took one of the females to his house and had sexual intercourse. The victim told an adult about the encounter who then contacted police.

Balthazor is now facing charges that include aggravated indecent liberties with a child and furnishing alcohol to a minor.
