Man Accused of Choking Woman

A Salina man was arrested after allegedly choking a woman, and then later stealing her keys.

Police allege that 35-year-old Charles Nelson briefly choked a female acquaintance during an incident on Monday in a North Salina home.  Nelson left, then later returned and took the woman’s keys from her.

Nelson was arrested on Thursday. He could face charges that include robbery and domestic violence battery.

The keys were not recovered.
