Kansas lawmakers are considering a proposed bill that would make it a crime to encourage another person to commit suicide.

According to the bill, it would be a level five felony if the person attempts suicide and a severity level four felony if that person takes their own life.

Opponents of the bill argue that it raises constitutional concerns that limit free speech.
