For over 65-years, men and boys have been gathering in Beloit to share a path to leadership and Christian living at the North Central Kansas Men & Boys Rally.
Charley File and Kevin Marozas with the Beloit United Methodist Church joined in on the KSAL Morning News Thursday with a look at the event which boasts former KSU Wildcat and Kansas City Chief Kevin Lockett as the featured speaker.
File says he pitched the idea to Lockett three years ago.
“He asked me what kind of program are we talking about here.”
File said Lockett got excited about the opportunity when he learned that he would be able to share his message with about 1,500 to 2,000 students in the Beloit school system with several rallies throughout the day.
The dinner/praise and worship event is scheduled for the evening of March 7th and also includes a musical performance by the Christian band Cloverton.
Ticket sales are underway for the 4:45pm dinner to be held at the Beloit United Methodist Church, while the 6PM Praise and Worship program starts at 6pm in the Beloit High School Gymnasium.
