KDOT to Replace Road Signs Lost to High Winds

State transportation officials are taking stock of all the road signs that were destroyed or are missing following this week’s storms in western and central Kansas.

As of late yesterday, a KDOT source say state officials estimate that more than one thousand signs would have to be fixed or replaced.

Meanwhile, transportation officials took to Twitter to urge motorists to slow down and exercise caution in areas where once-familiar road signs had disappeared.
