Kansas Among 11 U.S. States Linked to Nationwide Salmonella Outbreak

Kansas is on the list of 11 states linked to a nationwide salmonella outbreak.

This according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which lists a total of 16 recorded illnesses linked to recent online sales of small turtles.

Six of the cases reportedly required hospitalizations. Health officials say those infected with salmonella are likely to experience diarrhea, fever and stomach cramps anywhere from six hours to six days after ingesting the bacteria.
