The Halstead Police Department is under investigation by state officials.

Harvey County Attorney David Yoder made the request for the Kansas Bureau of Investigation to examine the police department. Officials have released few details about the investigation.

Yoder says that the Kansas Bureau of Investigation is interviewing witnesses and looking through documents at the police station, but no warrants have been served and no arrests have been made.

The KBI issued a statement, saying confirming they were working a case in Halstead, but for the “sanctity of the investigation” they would not release any further information.
