Firefighter’s Gear is Stolen

Police find more damage

A volunteer firefighter’s gear is stolen from his car.

Police report that Jeremy Prater of Salina was visiting the Kwik Shop at 1600 S. 9th on Wednesday around 7pm and left the windows on his 2002 Buick Century down.

When he returned to his car, Prater discovered that someone had taken a bag full his equipment and left.

The bag contained a helmet, face shield, coat, pants, boots, light and gloves.

Loss is estimated at $1,610.
