A toddler is dead following an apparent drowning incident yesterday afternoon in Sedgwick County.

Local first responders say the call came in around 3:30 p.m. about the incident on West 21st Street.

Responding EMS personnel said the three-year-old boy had drowned in an above-ground pool.

Efforts to revive the child reportedly were unsuccessful. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
