Trina is a sixth grade English teacher at Lakewood Middle School and has been teaching for 28 years total. She spent four years as a paraeducator/aide, nine years teaching at the alternative school, and 21 years teaching at Lakewood. As an aide for Mrs. Wirth during her senior year of high school, Trina was inspired to change her career aspirations from nursing to teaching. Trina loved her time spent at the Alternative School, as well as teaching Grades 6-8 at Lakewood. Her favorite thing is seeing former students in public and keeping in touch with them. Trina’s message to parents and the community is to please spend time with your children. There are so many opportunities, please support your children and encourage them. Believe in your children.
