Kanean is a science teacher at South High school. He has been teaching for 16 years total, all within the South High science department. Kanean knew he wanted to work with kids in some capacity and always had enjoyed school growing up. He stated that he had a lot of great teachers, who always made learning fun. Kanean’s parents also inspired him with their work ethic and resilience. His favorite part of teaching is helping students see the connection between biology and the real world and why it’s important to understand the content. Kanean also enjoys working alongside many great South High teachers and staff members and appreciates how much they care about their students. Kanean’s message to parents and the community is to be involved and present for your kids; ask them questions about their classes. Provide them with the support they need through the most important years of their life.
