A Kansas utility is helping residents along the gulf coast recover from Hurricane Ida.

Evergy announced yesterday that it is sending 100 distribution linemen with management and support to assist in the power restoration effort in the New Orleans area.

Some crews left yesterday for New Orleans, and other personnel will leave for Louisiana today.
