Janice Ann Muchow

Janice Ann Muchow, 86, passed away in Abilene, Kansas, on May 31, 2026. She was born on July 23, 1939, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Charles and Eleanora (Ford) Moore.

Janice graduated from Buhler Rural Highschool in Buhler, Kansas. She married the love of her life, Aaron Muchow, on October 20, 1960, in Brookeville, Kansas.

Janice taught Aquacise classes at Genesis for many years and was also a dedicated Mary Kay consultant and homemaker. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society, which brought her great joy. Janice was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley and never missed an opportunity to share her love for his music. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Muchow; her parents, Charles and Eleanora Moore; her brothers, Cecil Moore and Eugene Moore; and her sister, Katherine Moore.

She is survived by her three daughters, Janelle Lull and her husband, Steve, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Rhonda Schmid and her husband, Rick, of Salina, Kansas; and Andria Luttrell and her husband, Mike, of Glenpool, Oklahoma; her sister, Esther Victory of Willard, Ohio; her grandchildren, Kyle (Elizabeth) Schmid, Kale (Erica) Schmid, Samantha (Tyler) Metcalfe, Bryan (Leslie) Lull, Jeren (Laura) Luttrell, and Kelsey (Mike) Meacham; and her great-grandchildren, Braelynn Luttrell, Ruger Meacham, Addy Luttrell, Asher Meacham, Karson Schmid, and Isla Metcalfe.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on July 25, 2026, at Franklin Cemetery in Tescott, Kansas, with Pastor Dennis Kootz officiating.
