Lori Ann Kirby (DeLaney), 58, of Salina, Kansas passed away May 20, 2026. Lori was born April 18, 1968, to Robert “Bob” DeLaney Sr of Salina, Kansas and Iona “Nona” DeLaney (Irby) of Bogue, Kansas.

While only having 5 biological children, Lori was called “mom” by so many more. She opened her home to any in need of a hot meal, a place to sleep, or a word of wisdom. Lori truly believed that blood didn’t make a family; love did.

She is survived by her sons Joseph Hoffman of Salina, Kansas; Christopher Hoffman of Salina, Kansas; her daughters Emily (Angel) Hoffman of Salina, Kansas; Abbie Hoffman of Salina, Kansas; her brother Robert “Rob” DeLaney Jr of Rolla, Missouri; her sister Jeana Opel of Salina, Kansas; her 7 grandchildren Joshua DeLaney of Salina, Kansas; Caige Brown of Dothan, Alabama ;Ryan Lopez of Salina, Kansas; Alexia Lopez of Salina, Kansas; Kinsley Lopez of Salina, Kansas; Aleena Opel of Salina, Kansas; Carter Loder of Salina, Kansas; dozens of cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends; and lastly, the sister of her heart Dena Blazier of Brookville, Kansas.

Lori is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bob and Nona and her husband Pat.
