Alene Calder Herrman, 94, Lindsborg, died Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Bethany Home. She was born November 12, 1931, in Garden City. She was the daughter of Mearl and Artie (Clarkston) Brunson.

Alene grew up in Garden City where she graduated from high school. She was united in marriage with Dale Calder on August 5, 1950, and they were blessed with 37 years together.

On February 13, 1993, she was married to Willard Herrman and was blessed with 16 years together.

Alene worked in retail all of her life and her greatest joys in life were her family. She loved spending time with them. Alene loved her little four-legged girl, Lilly, very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Dale and Willard; her sister, Mearlene; brothers, Doyal and Roger; and a great-grandson, Austin.

Alene is survived by her daughter, Connie Gent and her husband, Frank; grandchildren, Zachry (Lisa) and Shawn; step-grandchildren, Frankie and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Josh, Ashlyn (Ismael), Tevon (Lauren), Chase (Haley), Frankie Lee (Alex), and six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Golden Wheel Senior Center and may be left in care of the funeral home.
