Saline County Commissioners have formed a new advisory committee which will review proposals from outside agencies and provide recommendations on how the County will spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to benefit nonprofit agencies in the community.

According to the County, the committee will evaluate proposals from nonprofit agencies based on the following:

• Agency mission and how it helps control costs for County departments
• How County funding is used to leverage outside funding
• Other public support from value of tax-exempt property and/or City funding
• Other fundraising efforts

Committee members must be available between May 22nd and June 12th. Availability during the week of June 1st is essential for agency presentations to the advisory committee.

Outside Agency Funding

Applications for outside agency funding will be accepted between April 27th – May 22nd.

Important Dates

• April 10th: Committee application period closes
• April 21st: Committee members appointed by the County Commission
• April 27th – May 22nd: Applications for funding accepted
• Week of June 1st: Presentations to the Social Services Funding Advisory Committee
