A weekend fundraiser by disc golf enthusiasts in Salina generated over $3,000 for the Salina Emergency Food Bank.

The Central Kansas Disc Golf Club organized a tournament and food drive on Saturday. A special course was set up in Oakdale Park for the event.

All proceeds, including player fees and a raffle, were earmarked for the food bank.  Additionally, non-perishable food donations and cash donations were collected.

According to the organization, the event generated $3,100 for the food bank.
