Harry W. Putnam, 84, Bennington, died Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center. Harry was born April 3, 1941, in Lawrence, to Vinnal and Della (House) Putnam.
Harry worked for many years at ADM in Salina. He also worked construction and could fix almost anything that was broken. Harry had a love for model trains and was known for his extensive collection.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jackie Putnam; and sister, Delena Houser.
Survivors are his children, Gary Putnam and wife, Tiffany and Donita Barlow and husband, Chuck; brother, Merlin Putnam; sister, Lorene Putnam; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Harry has been living at the Nicol Home in Glasco for the past several years. The family will be forever grateful for the wonderful care that he received.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 19, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 20 at the United Church of Bennington. Burial will be in the Bennington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nicol Home and may be left in care of the funeral home.
