Cecil Leroy Brewster, of Salina, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026. He was born on March 17, 1948, in Norfolk,k Nebraska to George W. Brewster and Jean M.(Nelson) Brewster, the second of 4 children. The family moved a lot , from Norfolk Nebraska to West Plains Missouri to Carthage Missouri, back to Norfolk, then to O’Neill Nebraska, back to Norfold, then to Lexington Nebraska. From there to Hood River Oregon and then to Page Nebraska, Brunswick Nebraska, and then Albion, Nebraska.
He was a 1967 graduate of Albion High School. He enlisted in the Army after graduation and after basic training at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri was sent to Germany as a member of an infantry company for the remainder of his 4 year enlistment.
Cecil was a kind person whose life centered around his family. He was hard working and often worked more than one job in order to support his family.
He was preceded in death by his father George Brewster, his mother Jean Brewster, his brother Richard Brewster and his sister Louise Brewster. He is survived by his remaining brother Larry Brewster of Gautier, Mississippi, his wife Velma and children.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Roselawn Cemetery.
