Barbara J. Ausherman, 77, of Salina, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026. She was born in Abilene, KS to Roy and Helen (Mock) Koelling, on June 1, 1948. She attended school in Abilene. She earned her associate degree in technology from Kansas State University in 2003. She married William (Bill) Hall on June 28, 1965, to this union, three children were born, Wade, Anita, and Angela. She then married David Ausherman on May 10, 1983. She worked at Westinghouse and later Phillips Lighting, where she retired. She was a member of the Red Hat Lady Club and Suma Kum Lade, in a field that was dominated by men.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Helen Koelling; brother, Curt Koelling; daughter, Angela Adamson; and grandson, Jeremy Graber.
She is survived by her two children, Wade Hall and Anita Jackson (Eric); brother, Don Koelling; eight grandchildren, Shuree Graham (Jeremy), Amanda Hall, Yari Hall (Jim), Miranda Kae Melhus (Spencer Melnus) Laurel Stewart (Ulyesses Stewart), Saxon Adamson (Theo Adamson), Talon Adamson; and sixteen grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen and burial will be planned at a later date in Abilene Cemetery.
Services were entrusted to Heier Scott Mortuary and Cremations, 1920 East Crawford Street, Salina, Kansas 67401.
