Carolyn Farmer (Davis), 80, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Salina Regional Health Center.
She was born in Jefferson City, MO, on May 23, 1945, to William and Bunola (Dyer) Davis. She graduated from Lexington High School, Lexington MO, in 1963. She married Gary D. Farmer, on March 29, 1968, in Salina.
Carolyn worked for Hi Quality, Ballou Construction, Exline Inc, Planters Bank, before becoming an insurance underwriter for Great Plains Insurance in 1977. She retired from Columbia Insurance Group in 2007. Carolyn also worked part-time at Dillards to support her addiction to retail therapy; she was always dressed to the nines.
Carolyn loved buying the season’s latest dress suits. Of course, the outfit wouldn’t be complete without matching shoes and accessories.
Survivors include her husband, Gary, of the home; children, John and Jonette Farmer, of Greenville, SC, Lucinda Farmer-Necaise and Debbie Cole, of Cambridge, MD, Chad and Cathy Farmer, Leslie and Matthew Waggoner, all of Salina; grandchildren, Jeanina Farmer, Nathan and Megan Farmer, Aaron Farmer, Ryan Godbout, Anthony Velasquez and Zach Zwibelman, Christopher and Amanda Gordon, Evan Velasquez, Zachary Gordon, Mikaylee Velasquez, Teresa and Jacob Mobley, Maverek Velasquez, Kyllor Waggoner, Greyson Waggoner, and Lexington Velasquez; and fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Lisa Engler of Topeka, KS; and special friend, Debora Lake of Abilene, KS. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Owen and Mae Cecil Davis; parents; stepfather, Arthur Myers; infant brother; beloved sister, Ila Holmes; and brother-in-law, Michael Engler.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2026, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford Street, Salina, Kansas 67401. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
