Michael “Mick” Mosher, age 83, of Concordia, KS, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Republic County Hospital, Belleville, KS. He was born on December 10, 1942 in Lenora, KS to John L. & June L. (Swihart) Mosher
He graduated from Agenda High School in 1961 and Michael served in the US Navy from 1961-1962.
He married Barbara J. Everhart on Nov. 09, 1962 in Scandia, KS.
Mick worked as a carpenter in the Junction City and Manhattan, KS area until moving back home to the Hollis area in 1974. After moving back he farmed on the family farm with his dad(John), brother(Gary), and son(Steve) until he retired.
He served on the Lawrence Twp Board as a trustee and Rural Fire District #4. He was an avid fisherman and hunter all of his life. Mick enjoyed many fishing trips to Canada with his wife and friends. He spent many early mornings and late nights in the deer stand trying to out hunt his dad.
Mick loved being a dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa the most. He spoiled them all endlessly, sharing his love of fishing, hunting, Mickey Mouse, and Dairy Queen with them all.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, Concordia, KS; son, Steve Mosher (Lisa), Concordia, KS; daughter, Debbie Eaton (Terry), Eudora, KS; brother, Lynn Mosher, Concordia, KS.; sister, Janice Beneda (Gary), Sunrise Beach, MO; grandchildren, Krystal Nelson (Corey), Michael Eaton & Kaylee Bogart (Kyle) & great-grandchildren, Gunnar & Hagen Nelson & Callan & Josephine Bogart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny & June Mosher & brothers, Larry and Gary Mosher.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, KS. Visitation will be Monday, December 29, 2025 from 1-8 pm, with the family receiving friends from 6-7 pm all at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. Burial will follow at the Hollis Cemetery, Hollis, Kansas. Military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post #588 and American Legion Post #76.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials made out to the family to be designated at a later date for youth hunting and fishing licenses, in care of the funeral home.
