Over $5,500 in power tools are stolen from a construction site.

Salina Police are investigating after someone cut the locks off two job site trailers located in the 1200 block of West Waterwell Road and removed construction tools including hammer drills and impact drills.

Salina Building Systems told officers a construction laser valued at $2,500 and assorted 18-volt batteries were also stolen sometime between 3pm Monday and 7am Tuesday morning.

Thieves also left a miter saw outside that was damaged by rainfall.

Loss and damage is listed at $6,030.
