Woman’s Pinky Broken in Fracas

A Salina woman goes to the hospital after two women confront her in her car.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that a 29-year-old female was treated at Salina Regional Health Center for a broken finger after an argument flashed into violence between acquaintances.

Police arrested 31-year-old Michelle Richardson and 35-year-old Jeanine Richardson both of Salina, after an incident in the 800 block of N. 12th Street Sunday afternoon.

Police say Michelle Richardson jumped into the victim’s car and proceeded to pull off the woman’s sunglasses, take her car keys and smash her cell phone on the ground.

Moments later Police allege that Jeanine Richardson arrived and put her hand over the victim’s mouth and told her to be quiet.

The two left the scene and were arrested about three hours later. Both are facing charges that include battery, criminal restraint and intimidation.

Michelle Richardson is also charged with destroying a cell phone that is valued at $500.
