A Wichita woman who police say shot her boyfriend in the groin after she found him having sex with another woman has been charged with aggravated battery.

Forty-four-year-old Christina Martinez was charged Wednesday in Sedgwick County District Court with battery and a probation violation.

Wichita police says the 44-year-old victim was shot Tuesday morning as he sat in a lawn chair following an earlier confrontation involving the women. He was hospitalized in serious condition.

Bond for Martinez is set at $75,000. Online jail records didn’t indicate an attorney.
