Who’s Up Next?

How do organizations identify their next leader – before they leave for another opportunity?

Gayle Hopkins, President of Organizational Performance Solutions in Kansas City joined in on the KSAL Morning News Tuesday with a preview of her seminar: Succession Planning, coming to K-State Polytechnic next month.

“A lot of times organizations think only at the most senior level, CEO or the president,” Hopkins said.

“We’re also looking at sussession planning from the standpoint of the knowledge worker.”

Hopkins says it is important to identify and prepare internal employees to fill leadership positions.

“What happens when all that intellectual knowledge leaves? Because it will eventually.”

Succession Planning is Wednesday, February 3 from 8am to noon in the Welcome Center at K-State Polytechnic, Room 122.

The registration deadline for the one-day session is Friday, January 29th. Cost is $125 and includes course instruction and materials, morning refreshments and parking permit.
