KSAL Staff - June 20, 2014 8:56 am

A man accused of a “quick change scam” is caught on video.

According to Salina Police, on June 5th a black male went into the Salina Wal-Mart and performed a quick change scam. He was wearing a checkered shirt, dark pants, and a ball cap.

The man allegedly began a cash transaction at a checkout lane using a single bill. He ended up confusing the clerk, and after a series of requests scammed his way into more money before walking out of the store.

If you know any information about this subject, or if you have any information concerning who committed this crime, call Crimestoppers at 825-TIPS, text SATIPS to CRIMES (274637), or visit Salina Police Department and follow the Crimestoppers link to submit a web tip.

You may receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 and you are not required to give your name.

You would think with Walmart being a 100+ billion dollar empire they would have a little higher quality cameras lol. this guy would be caught the same day. In due time though im sure they will install facial recognition cameras just about everywhere so no more worrying about asking for the publics’ help.
