Tri-Rivers Parade

- August 6, 2013 9:28 pm

Baby Evalynn Haymond chews on a sucker while watching the firetrucks go by in the parade.

Parents and children gathered on the street to watch the floats, firetrucks, dancers and horses go by.

Yellow caution tape marked off Santa Fe in downtown Salina for the Tri-Rivers Fair parade Tuesday night.

“We come out every year to the parade,” Jessica Urbanek said, surrounded by her children. “The kids love the horses and the candy.”

The fair festivities start up Wednesday morning with events at the 4-H building and last till Aug. 11 with the demolition derby.

Why the city keeps maintaining they cannot find anything just another matter like the health department that they are trying to pass the buck to someone or something else. The only problem here is a little girl is fighting for her life. I especially find faulth with our city’s manager Gages care free attitude on this.

Sorry once again the City of Salina and the city commissioners and manager have dropped the ball. Both entities are absolutely doing nothing on this matter keep saying they are waiting for this one or that one instead of immediately jumping on this. Mean while this poor little girl is hanging on and her family is going through hell. Gage this all comes back to you. Stop acting like a big man on campus as you have since being given your position and get something done on this.
