The newly named K-State Polytechnic campus in Salina opened its doors to the public Saturday, and invited one and all to an open house. Hundreds of prospective students and their families were joined by interested citizens in learning about what the school is all about.
There were tours, activities, and displays.
Highlights included the opportunity to fly in an aviation simulator, robot and drone demonstrations, a chemistry magic show, and a video game competition.
As part of the open house the K-State fleet of aircraft was on display, along with other current and historic aircraft. Alumni pilots from around the country returned to be a part of the event.
The open house is an annual event that take place simultaneously on all of the Kansas State University campuses.
