SUV Crashes Into Baseball Park

A bathroom is damaged at Dean Evans Stadium after a one vehicle crash.

Salina Police cited a 15-year-old driver for an accident that occurred at 12:56am Thursday morning.

Police say the teen was driving a 2012 GMC Envoy at a high rate of speed northbound on the old runway – when the SUV hit a concrete parking barrier, broke through a fence and then struck an exterior brick wall at the baseball stadium.

Damage estimate was not available.

The vehicle was towed from the scene while the teen was cited for curfew violations and violating restrictions on his license.
