A Salina woman is charged in an assault that took place in a Brookville home.

Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan tells KSAL News that deputies were called to 116 W. 2nd in Brookville on Monday afternoon at 1:15pm.

Sarah Gabriel, 34 of Salina was arrested after a verbal argument between two women became violent.

Deputies say Gabriel pulled the long metal handle out of a rolling suitcase and swung it in the face of 22-year-old Lacy Clinkenbeard.

Clinkenbeard was not injured but did call the Sheriff’s Office for help with her guest who had been asked to leave.
