Salina Police are looking for a known suspect who drove off in a car without permission.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that the suspect allegedly stole a 1999 Mercury Cougar from a home in the 2100 block of Shalimar on Wednesday.

Value of the vehicle is estimated at $2,000.

Dang Fred your really hammering this seat belt issue. How bout raising some hell about shyt that matters, Like come July 1st any idiot can carry a concealed gun. Our streets should really be safe then.

Well Kenny your point is mute. Right now any idiot is carrying concealed guns and committing crimes. There will be no difference come July 1 accept the innocent people will have them also and in many cases the bad guys will be killed off. By the way the seat belt law is unjustified. Your wearing a seatbelt may only save your life if it does not cut your head off in the accident. Explain to me why a motorcycle rider is not required to wear a helmet but we have seatbelt laws.
