Salina Police are searching for a white male suspect who damaged an ATV while trying to steal it.

Police are reviewing video from a parking lot camera at the Super 8 Motel at 705 W. Schilling Road.

According to Police Sergeant Jim Feldman, on Sunday morning around 8:30am the suspect pulled up alongside a pickup parked at the Super 8 that had a 2007 Yamaha Grizzly 350 ATV on board.

The suspect then pulled the ATV onto his own truck and drove away.

Police say moments later the ATV fell out the suspect’s black, Dodge truck and was recovered.

The ATV is valued at $3,000 and owned by John Scotts of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
