The death of a soldier at Fort Riley is under investigation.

According to the Army, at about 5:50 in the evening on Wednesday of this week, a 1st Infantry Division Soldier died of a gunshot wound in his residence on the installation. No one else was hurt.

The name of the Soldier is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.

The incident is currently is under investigation.
