Seat Belt Enforcement Planned

Salina Police will be out in force Friday evening looking for seat belt violations.

Lt. Russ Lamer tells KSAL News that four officers and one spotter will be patrolling from 9pm Friday to 1am Saturday, looking for occupants who are not buckled up.

Citations for unrestrained adults are $10 while the citation for children under 18-years old who are not buckled up is $60 plus court costs.

Officers will also be on the look out for impaired drivers, and will be spread throughout various areas of the city.
