Salina’s Newest Hotel; Restaurant Opens

KSAL Staff - June 9, 2015 6:19 pm

Salina’s newest hotel, and restaurant, celebrated a festive grand opening Tuesday.  A red ribbon was cut, signifying that a Holiday Inn Hotel, and accompanying Burger Theory restaurant are now open.  Both are off I-135, at 3145 S. 9th Street.

The newly built hotel features modern guest rooms, along with meeting and banquet facilities, a pool, hot tub, gift shop, and a 3,000-square-foot convention center.

A Burger Theory restaurant is also located on the property. The restaurant specializes in fresh, gourmet hamburgers. It also has a bar, including multiple unique beers.

Though the facility has been open several months, Tuesday’s events signify its official opening, in anticipation of a busy Smoky Rill River Festival Weekend.

My understanding is you better have a bank letter of credit to eat burgers at the restaurant.

I ate there recently with my family, and the prices were not out of line. 10 bucks for a burger which includes your side. It wasn’t a lot more total bill than a fast food excursion, and so much better!

Ten or nine dollars for a hamburger is not a problem? You must be rich folks. I pay half that at some places and consider that expensive for a Hamburger. I bet you folks would pay the same for a hot dog. WOW.
