Salina Regional Purchases Vacant Office Building

Salina Regional Health Center has purchased a vacant South Salina office building, and plans to relocate some services there.

According to the hospital, they have purchased the former Sunflower Bank corporate office building located at the intersection of Ohio and Belmont. The building will become a medical office building, and will become the new home for COMCARE physicians and staff that currently practice at 617 East Elm Street. The COMCARE clinic at 520 S. Santa Fe will not move.

The new building is a three story, 19,000 square foot facility that opened in 1987. A 20,000 square foot addition to the building will be home to an imaging center with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment providing services that include X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, mammography, X-ray computed tomography, and nuclear medicine.

A $10 million renovation of the existing building, and new construction, will be underway this fall. Completion is anticipated for late 2016.
