Salina Police Log 7-28-15

Police are investigating a burglary at Turning Point, 321 N. Santa Fe that occurred sometime between Sunday night at 9:30pm and Monday morning at 10:30am. Thieves damaged a door to gain access into the building and then damaged two vending machines owned by Mahaska Snack Express. Damage to the door and machines is listed at $1,400 while an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the machine’s coin boxes.

 

Two Harley Davidson motorcycles were stolen from a unit at A-1 Mini Storage, 306 E. Walnut. Owner, Gary Benfield told officers the 1979 Harley is worth $8,000 while the 2002 Harley Sportster is valued at $4,000. The door on the unit was pried open sometime between Sunday at midnight and Monday at 8am.

 

Police are investigating the theft of numerous outdoor power tools from a city owned storage shed. Police say someone pried open a door on storage shed in the 200 block of S. 7th and removed a leaf blower, 2 trimmers, push mower, 1/2 horsepower pump and two gas cans. Total loss and damage is listed at $1,403.
