Salina Police Log 2-3-16

Police are looking for a thief who allegedly embezzled a large amount of money from a Salina man’s disability account. 38-year-old Nathan Thompson reported that between June 25th of 2015 and February 2nd 0f 2016, money was embezzled from his account. Total loss is estimated $8,830.

A Wichita man’s phone was stolen as he was making deliveries in Salina. Police say that 35-year-old Michael Olmstead was making a delivery in Salina Wednesday morning at the Dillons grocery store in Sunset Plaza. Sometime between 5:00 in the morning and 5:27 in the morning an iPhone 6 was stolen from his unlocked delivery vehicle. Total loss is estimated at $800.

A Salina man was arrested for allegedly fraudulently using a credit card. 26-year-old Darrel Shannon Jr. is accused of attempting to make 10 unauthorized transactions using a credit card belonging to 51-year-old Darrel Shannon. He could face charges that include 10 counts of unlawful use of a credit card, felony theft, and committing a computer crime.
