A five-year-old girl was hit by a truck on October 4.

Alex Garcia was driving his 2011 GMC truck when the young girl ran out from in between two parked vehicles.

Garcia did not have time to react and hit the girl.

She sustained a broken leg and was transported to Salina Regional by ambulance.
