Salina Show Sells Out In Three Minutes

Thousands of free tickets to see one of the hottest acts in country music perform in Salina sold out in three minutes Wednesday morning.

Florida Georgia Line will perform a free concert in Salina on Sunday September 22nd. The duo, known for the #1 smash hit “Cruise”, has skyrocketed to the top of the country charts.

Florida Georgia Line is set to begin its first headline tour later this fall, and has been selling out shows in a matter of minutes. The Salina show was no exception.

Tickets were made available on-line at 9:00 Wednesday morning. By 9:03 the show was sold out.

Prior to the free on-line offering, a limited number of VIP tickets were offered for sale late last week. Fans wanting to meet the duo could purchase a VIP experience that includes a meet and greet with Tyler and Brian along with a group photo, an autographed poster, VIP parking passes, and a VIP ticket. Those tickets are sold out as well. All proceeds from the VIP ticket sales will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Salina Media Group radio station Y 93.7 and Long McArthur Ford Lincoln are teaming up to bring Florida Georgia Line to Salina. The show is part of the “Live From the Lot” series. It will be held in the parking lot at the dealership on South 9th Street.

In an effort to keep this a free show, and a fun family event, special measures are being enforced.

Though the show is sold out, there will still be chances to win over 500 tickets that will be given away. The tickets will be given away via the Facebook and Twitter by both Long McArthur and Y 93.7. The radio station will also be giving away tickets on-air.

The show is free, but a ticket is required for entry. Since Florida Georgia Line has skyrocketed to stardom it was necessary to limit the amount of free tickets to the show.
Tickets cannot be resold. Each ticket has a bar code that will be scanned at entry. Photo ID may also be checked for security purposes.

No coolers are allowed at the concert. Food and beverage trucks and stands from Rolling Tacos, Rubbin Butts BBQ, Little B’s Tropical Sno, Pepsi, and Coors Light will all be on site.

Free parking will be located at the Central Mall. Shuttles start at 4pm day of show. Lot opens at 4pm. There is no early entry.
