Police Issue 18 Seat Belt Citations

Salina Police issued multiple citations on Wednesday night for seat belt violations.

Lt. Russ Lamer tells KSAL News that officers focused on occupants who were not buckled up in vehicles moving through two intersections on 9th Street; at 9th Claflin and 9th and Crawford.

Police say they made 19 vehicle stops and issued 18 citations to adults.

Lt. Lamer says that citations for unrestrained adults are $10 while the citation for children under 18-years old who are not buckled up is $60 plus court costs of $55.
