Police Investigating Gun Thefts

Salina Police are investigating a couple of unrelated crimes in which guns were stolen.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney says that sometime between September 30th and November 22nd, a Glock Model 22 .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun belonging to Marty Walker was stolen from a home at 920 Custer. Total loss is listed at $580.

Sweeney says that sometime between November 22nd and November 23rd, items were stolen from a car parked at 1311 Faith Drive belonging to Ira Autrey. Items taken include a wallet, 40 CDs, and two semi-automatic Cobra Arms .380 caliber handguns. The guns are chrome, with black handles. Total loss is estimated at $607.

Sweeney says that in both cases, there were no signs of forced entry.
